Premium hiking trail Groppertal
The certified premium hiking trail "Waldpfad Groppertal" with its near-natural paths offers impressive views of the Black Forest. Through varied forest passages and past the typical Black Forest farms, the hiker reaches the Groppertal. In addition to the 20-meter-high rock 'Uhustein' with viewing platform in the Villinger Germanswald, the Salvest game reserve with playground and rest area is one of the highlights of the enjoyment trail.
The Breitbrunnen Inn is an inviting place to stop for a break.

Only a few kilometers away from the hotel is the Villinger Hubenlochpark above the city center of Villingen. Via the lookout tower you have a great view over the city and can linger on the lovingly arranged seating.

Schwenninger Moos
The Schwenninger Moos nature reserve, founded in 1939, is already around 4000 years old. The moor was drained for a long time in order to extract peat. This served the population as fuel, especially after the wars. But after a long time the realization came that the moor could not continue to flourish without water and so more than 50 barriers were built.
Around the Schwenninger Moos is a 3.5 km long walking trail on which there is a lot to discover, also thanks to the many information boards.
Adjacent to the Schwenninger Moos there is the Park "Möglingshöhe " with a barefoot path, opportunities to linger and a lake that was expanded for the State Garden Show in 2010.
