The idea for Romantikhotels was born in 1972 – today there are more than 200 hotels in 11 European countries.

Since the year 2017 the brand has begun to change. “explore ROMANTIK“: With a Europe-wide brand campaign on television, on the Internet and on social media platforms, Romantik Hotels & Restaurants AG opens its brand to new target groups and puts the guests, their wishes, dreams and emotions in the centre of attention.
“The Romantik brand is characterised by the diversity and individuality of its hotels. For generations, the 200 hotels have offered guests an enormous range of travel experiences that need to be communicated,” says Thomas Edelkamp, chairman of the board of the cooperation. “explore ROMANTIK” takes this up and shows what travellers are looking for today: Individual experiences, discovering local cultures and zest for life. “explore ROMANTIK is an opportunity for us, together with our hotels, to communicate the diversity and quality of the brand to younger and new target groups and to build a more attractive brand image in the long run.

Not every hotel can become a Romantik Hotel. To be accepted into the cooperation, strict guidelines must be adhered to. As part of quality assurance, Romantik Hotels regularly carries out quality control tests and awards the best hotels annually.
The Romantik Intranet gives all our employees access to exclusive offers, such as reduced purchasing conditions for various products and discounted overnight stays in all Romantik Hotels.
Training and seminars in the areas of distribution, revenue management, reservations, service, housekeeping, F&B and marketing are offered at regular intervals.
The Trainee Award and Talent Day are only a small part of the events for inter-company exchange with employees of other Romantik Hotels.
Thanks to the extensive network of over 200 Romantik Hotels, all doors are open to employees even when they are looking for job transitions. An internal job market facilitates the search for a dream job.
